Krishna Ji Puja Vidhi

The worship of Shri Krishna Ji is considered highly auspicious when performed with a pure heart, devotion, cleanliness, and loving remembrance. Krishna Ji is pleased by bhakti, Tulsi leaves, butter, sweets, and sincere prayer.

Preparation

  • Wake up early in the morning

  • Take a bath and wear clean clothes (yellow or white are considered auspicious)

  • Clean the puja place properly

  • Place the idol or image of Krishna Ji on a clean altar

  • Decorate the altar with flowers if possible

  • Keep the idol facing east or west direction

Puja Materials

  • Krishna Ji idol or picture

  • Tulsi leaves

  • Fresh flowers or garland

  • Incense sticks

  • Lamp (ghee diya preferred)

  • Chandan (sandalwood paste)

  • Kumkum

  • Akshat (rice)

  • Butter or Makhan

  • Mishri (sugar crystals)

  • Milk, curd, honey (optional)

  • Fruits

  • Panchamrit (optional)

  • Bhagavad Gita / Krishna Chalisa / Aarti book

  • Bell

Sankalp (Intention)

    Take a sincere resolve for worship

    Pray for peace, devotion, wisdom, and family well-being

Invocation

Puja Procedure

    Offer water mentally or physically to Krishna Ji

    Apply chandan tilak

    Offer kumkum and akshat

    Offer fresh flowers and garland

    Offer Tulsi leaves (very important in Krishna worship)

    Offer butter, mishri, sweets, fruits, or milk

    Meditate lovingly on child Krishna, Gopal, or Radha Krishna form

Important

Tulsi leaves are considered extremely dear to Shri Krishna Ji. Even a simple offering with Tulsi and devotion is highly auspicious.

Prasad Distribution

    Wait a few moments in silence

    Then distribute prasad among family members

Important Guidelines

  • Maintain cleanliness and purity

  • Vegetarian food is preferred on puja day

  • Speak truthfully and calmly

  • Avoid anger and negative thoughts

  • Ekadashi and Janmashtami are especially auspicious

  • Daily worship with Tulsi and mantra is beneficial
