The Story of Krishna Ji

Lord Shri Krishna is one of the most profound and inspiring parts of Indian religion, culture, and philosophy. Shri Krishna is considered the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and his life conveys extraordinary messages of righteousness, devotion, love, and karma.
Long ago, during the Dwapara Yuga, King Ugrasena ruled the city of Mathura. However, his own son Kansa imprisoned him and seized the kingdom. Kansa was an extremely cruel, arrogant, and tyrannical ruler, due to whom the people suffered greatly.
One day, a divine prophecy declared that the eighth son of Kansa’s sister Devaki would become the cause of his destruction. Hearing this, Kansa became terrified and immediately imprisoned Devaki and her husband Vasudeva. One by one, Kansa killed Devaki’s first six sons. The seventh child, Balarama, was mystically transferred from Devaki’s womb to Rohini’s womb through the power of Yogamaya.
After this, when the eighth child was born, he was no ordinary child but the incarnation of Lord Vishnu himself — Shri Krishna. Miraculous events occurred at the time of his birth: the prison guards fell into deep sleep, all the locks opened automatically, and the waters of the Yamuna River became calm. Guided by divine inspiration, Vasudeva placed the newborn Krishna in a basket and carried him to Gokul, where he was left in the care of Nanda Baba and Mother Yashoda. In return, Vasudeva brought back a baby girl and placed her in the prison.
